Supporting disabled parents and their families

It takes a village.

We support parents with disabilities to be the best parent they can be. We believe disabled parents are capable, worthy and make excellent parents.

Founded by a disabled parent, we know firsthand how the stigma and ableism experienced by disabled parents can be debilitating and harmful to our health. We are determined to not only provide the direct support you need, but to educate and train other health professionals, family services and childcare services to better understand and to support disabled parents and their families.

We also work with teenagers to increase their independence and pursue their goals.

OUR SERVICES

We work with adults and teenagers with the following conditions:

  • Psychosocial disability (for example, depression, anxiety, PTSD, bipolar)

  • Neurodivergent conditions (ASD and ADHD)

  • Intellectual Disability

A new type of mother’s group

If you felt like you didn't fit into your mother's group, or your mum friends just don't seem to understand what it's really like to be a disabled mum, this community is for you.
